The book can be ordered online from The City Bookshop (press this link to order it directly). It is also available from Jarrolds Book Department, Norwich (not quite yet online 8/11/22) (01603 660661) and from their branch in Cromer (01263 512190). Do you know anything about the Robberds family and, if so, do they feature in any of your books, please?

Thank you so much for that information, which is interesting.
My Great grandfather was a Walter John Forbes Robberds 1863-1944 and I am trying to establish if he has anything to do with all the Robberds families in Norwich.
Best wishes. Victoria

I know I’m somewhat late to the party, but just wanted to say that Back Stories is a superb book. To read the blog posts plus the additions in such a well-produced publication is a real pleasure. To present Norwich history with a fine balance between the art of storytelling with the background of sound research is a rare talent. (I’m also glad to see that Brampton gets its mention on page 38!).
